Offering a clinical trial for rotator cuff repair surgery

We are proud to announce that we have been selected as a collection site for a new clinical trial involving rotator cuff repair surgery. This study will evaluate if pulsed electromagnetic field technology (PEMF) improves healing rates and outcomes for patients who have a rotator cuff tear repair.

Dr. Carofino & Dr. Manke at Atlantic Orthopaedic Specialists are the only surgeons in Virginia participating in this study. Other data collection sites in the Eastern region are UPenn, U of Maryland, and Rothman Institute.

We are excited to offer our patients cutting edge opportunities.
